As a professional, I see many of our elderly in New York are looking for assistance regarding insurance to cover the need for funeral expenses. A small face amount of life policy is helping them to meet their needs for funeral expenses. But premium may not be affordable often.
I believe that life insurance premiums should not be expensive. It should be free of cost even. We cannot deny that medical science has advanced a lot, but we can never predict the death of our near and dear ones. The government may provide $250 for this purpose. What this amount can do regarding getting into a coffin and going into the ground? The Al Qur’an also has a verse (Surah Bakarah, Ayat 240) on the protection of the family in case the breadwinner dies.
